Originals & Editorial Video

For the past decade I have been working as an executive producer and/or director on projects ranging from editorial video series for Vogue, to digital/social videos for Sinclair Broadcasting, to TV documentaries for outlets like Discovery. Below is a sample of the dozens of series and docs I have produced, created or overseen in the past 10 years.

Rubondo: Island of Dr. Grzimek

An independently-produced documentary (Makemake Media LLC) I am directing and producing that includes rare footage of the chimpanzees arriving on the island in the 1960s, interviews with Bernhard Grzimek’s grandson, locals displaced when the national park was created, and an interview with chimpanzee expert Jane Goodall.

The release is set for 2026.

Let’s Eat

I’m the executive producer of a new YouTube/TV food & Travel series for Sinclair Broadcasting which I co-created with former Food Network star and host, Monti Carlo (@themonticarlo).

It can be seen on YouTube and on various Sinclair TV stations. The latest episode has over 2M views.

Most Expensivest Sh*t

The hilarious series starring 2 Chainz I worked on and helped created at Mustache with GQ/Condé Nast Entertainment. After it became a sensation on YouTube, I sold to Viceland/A&E Networks.

Most of the episodes had over 2M views on YouTube.

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund

I executive produced a season of this series while at Mustache for Vogue and the CFDA featuring the series judges who include Condé Nast Creative Director Anna Wintour, designers like Diane von Fürstenberg, and the incomparable Selby Drummond.

Several of our episodes got over 3M views on YT.

WSJ Startup of the Year

I executive produced this ground breaking series for The Wall Street Journal when I was VP of Digital Content at Ish Entertainment. We interviewed over a dozen business leaders dozens of contestants who were vying for the title “Startup of the Year.” And then we co-produced an event in Bryant Park for the big reveal of the winners. It’s a whole new franchise for WSJ that they have continued to build on to this day.

Most importantly, the series was seen as a massive success for the Journal and led to a sponsorship from the NYSE.

Eastsiders

I championed and picked up this award-winning LGBTQ+ series while at MTV Networks. Created by Kit Willamson and starring Van Hansis and superstar Constance Wu, it’s gone on to get picked up by Netflix for multiple seasons and won dozens of awards.

It’s now one of the most streamed LGBTQ+ series on Netflix.

Confessions of a Travel Writer

With the folks at Authentic Entertainment in LA, I created and executive produced this hour-long Travel Channel pilot based on my experience in my 20s as a full-time travel writer.

They aired the pilot about 17 times and it got more hate mail than any series had ever gotten at the Travel Channel!

Searching for Genghis Khan’s Tomb

While working at ABC News Productions, I traveled to Mongolia to produce a Discovery Channel special on the search for the tomb of Genghis (Chinggis) Khan.

My favorite review of it came from Toni Morrison who, in a NYT profile, mentioned that she caught it on Discovery in the middle of the night and stayed up to find out if they ever find his tomb.

Spoiler alert…we didn’t.
